Synopsis

'Unspoken Letters' is a heartfelt drama that follows the journey of Felipa (#JhassyBusran), the youngest sibling in a family, who lives with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). At 17, Felipa functions at the level of a seven-year-old child. She looks up to her older siblings, and dreams of following in their footsteps. But with an ailing father, they uncover hidden truths about their family's past. The story not only explores the challenges faced by families dealing with neurodiversed individuals but also emphasizes the importance of gratitude and humility towards our parents.

Highlights

Boom Bagsak

While having dinner Felipa insists on sitting next to her Father, But Nestor is already sitting in the chair so Felipa shakes it and when Nestor stands up he knocked Felipa into the ground.

Flashback Malakas

The previous scene triggers a flashback where everyone is on the dinner table again but instead of Felipa, Nestor bumps into his mother. This escalates into a fight with his father.

When Ramon wanted to court Mariel He picked a stem from a Rosal plant with a flower to give to Mariel's mother Aurora, she responded kindly with a water hose to the face.

Nestor is gonna leave and go to his grandmothers house where he will study, and this is what his father thinks will fix his attitude.

Bad Kayo, Bad Bad

When her nephews were fighting she grabs a small stick and beats them with it, this leads to a conflict and she gets slapped in the face by Nestor. This makes a heated scene where Nestor has an argument with his father while the rest of the siblings watch.

4 x 4 = 16

Felipa scratched the paint of a truck to answer what she thinks is a math problem. Because she has autism. This happens after the argument in the previous scene.

Artista Ako Eh

Instigated by her nephew to slap Mariel's daughter, Felipa got attacked by Mariel in retaliation to the assault on her daughters face. 

Naynay, Lobo

This is the part of the movie where Aurora gets hit by a truck, and as her mother is dying Felipa keeps asking for a balloon instead of being distressed or sad.

Ayan Na Ang Kasagutang Gusto Mo

While looking for Felipa Nestor picks up his father on the side of the road, after getting in the car Nestor confronts his father and Conrado tells everything.

Spoken Letters

After finding the box of letters they learn the truth about everything, and they decided to fix the relationship of their family.

Happy, Happy, Happy!

After resolving everything they celebrated the birthday of their father and their bonds grew stronger that day.

Reflection

"Unspoken Letters" is a movie that is about family drama and the relationships in a family, it teaches us that family is unbreakable and that we should cherish our family more, it gives us a look at how family members deal with the loss of their loved ones and the misplaced anger that is directed upon a sibling who is indirectly involved in their mothers death. It is an emotional story that can make people feel emotions and it is a very nice movie to watch with others.

I enjoyed watching it with my classmates and it is a very memorable experience for me.
